About

I’m Dr. Ceilon Aspensen and I have been a passionate art teacher for more than twenty years. I love making and teaching art, and I love working with kids, pouring that passion into my art students and igniting their love for art, too.

I also love using my expertise and experience to help other art teachers reclaim their personal time and renew their teaching practice

Teaching art is a labor of love, but it is also highly underappreciated and undersupported in schools nationwide.  We are expected to do more than other teachers with less support, because art is perceived as an “easy” elective for any and all students regardless of their desire to take art or their aptitude for it.

In my experience, most art teachers are up for this challenge, although it takes considerable skills of organization, prep, and planning to manage it all. It’s also sometimes difficult to know where to start, and many teachers find themselves adrift and wondering where to find the help they need. Many other art teachers simply quit because of a lack of help and resources.

Fortunately for you, I have a gift for organization and technology that has allowed me to stay ahead of the increasing demands on my schedule resulting from all the additional responsibilities piled on teachers’ plates in recent years. I have leveraged those gifts to keep myself and my classroom organized, and making it so I can leave work at the end of my contract hours every day. I do not stay late or work on lesson planning or grading on nights or weekends. I spend my personal time with my family, participating in recreation, and working on my hobbies, as we all should.

Now I’m making my organizational tools available to you by putting together done-for-you lessons and units that you can use straight out of the “box,” and by teaching you my methods and strategies for curriculum development and lesson planning with ONE goal in mind: giving you your personal time, evenings, and weekends back.

If you’re struggling with staying on top of all the new requirements, keeping ahead of the lesson planning, leaving school on time, and keeping your personal time sacred, I’m here to help.
